Keeping up the reputation, Samsung, which rules the Indian smartphone market, has thrown their yet another dice, Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro today in the mobile space. This smartphone is also an another addition to the Grand series launched earlier this year.

Samsung has priced their new quad-core variant of its mid-range Android phablet, Galaxy Grand at a decent price of Rs. 17,290. However, the phone with dual-SIM support is being sold as the Galaxy Grand Quattro and is selling on online retail stores including on Flipkart, HomeShop18 and Indiatimes for Rs. 16,570.

With the launch of Galaxy Grand Quattro, Samsung now may boast about its portfolio containing 14 smartphones priced between Rs 5,990 and Rs 41,500. Here are the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro:

Display and Cellular Connectivity

The device features 4.7-inch TFT screen with capacitive touch screen display that gives the resolution of 800 x 480 Pixels. The phone is also enabled with Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support with dual standby mode.

OS and Processor

Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro is Powered by GHz Cortex A5 quad-core processor (Snapdragon 200 Qualcomm MSM8625Q) dialed to 1.2GHz and is backed by 1GB RAM . The device runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system.


The smartphone has the internal storage capacity of 8 GB which can be further enhanced to 32 GB with the help of microSD cards.


The device comes with a 5MP Camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash and features 720p HD video recording. The users are also offered photo taking features such as Continuous Shot, Best Photo, Color Effect for enhanced photo-taking capabilities. It has a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera

However, analyst also are contradicting at this point questioning as to what's the point of launching a Galaxy Grand clone at a comparatively less screen size, as the specifications are almost the same.

As Samsung Galaxy Grand sports a 5 inch multi-touch LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, dual core 1.2GHz processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera for video calling, 8GB internal storage capacity, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, A-GPS, DLNA and a 2,100 mAh Li-ion battery. Also, the phablet is priced in the market at Rs 19,500.
