Samsung Galaxy J1 with 5MP Camera, Android KitKat Leaked Online [Report]

Previously leaked information was confirmed, that the South Korean handset maker Samsung is working on the first smartphone under Galaxy J series. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J1, this device will come under the entry-level segment smartphones. As per Russian online retailer, the Galaxy J1 will carry a price tag of RUB 10,990 (approx Rs. 10,000), which is yet to be confirmed.

Samsung J1 - Key Specifications

Samsung J1 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is clocked at 1.2GHz dual-core Spreadtrum Pike Cortex-A7 alongside 512MB RAM. It comes with the internal storage of 4GB, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

On the imaging factor, Galaxy JI comes with a 5MP rear camera, capable of recording 720p at 30fps video with an LED flash. Also 2MP camera for selfies and video chat is equipped on the front. This phone measures 129 x 68.2 x 8.9mm thickness and weighs around 130 grams. Whole hardware is powered by a 1,850mAh battery.

Connectivity option includes Wi-Fi b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS + GLONASS. Moreover, the dual SIM Galaxy J1 runs Android 4.4 KitKat. As there is no official words on pricing and availability for now, we are expecting more details in future. Further, an Ultra Power Saving Mode is available to extend the battery usage. The Galaxy J1 will be available in Black, Blue and White variants.
