Samsung Galaxy Nexus gets a bigger battery
If a user requires quick and long time access to Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, one needs to make sure that they possess an extended battery for the handset.
The bigger battery of Samsung Galaxy Nexus is pretty dreadful particularly on LTE-enabled version of Verizon. Samsung launched an extended battery of 2100mAh and various other manufacturers offered several alternatives. But the most demanded one is the Seidio’s 3800mAh battery which is enhanced with a bay door for the extended battery.
The bigger battery pack offers Verizon phone with a battery power of more than two-fold the initial one. However, formerly it had a significant lapse that the NFC chip was embedded into Samsung’s batteries. The latest bigger battery offers the users with both a long lasting experience along with Android Beam.
The Verizon’s LTE model of the extended battery is nearly the same as the previous version apart from some new enhanced features. To own an extended battery with NFC capability, the admirers will have to pay around Rs. 4,000/-. For a non NFC model, there will be a reduction of about Rs. 250/-.
The 3800mAh battery doesn't work with the Galaxy Nexus international GSM version. However, Seidio provides both a minor 300mAh extended GSM version in addition to the standard replacement battery. The new extended battery along with its cover ads roughly doubles the thickness of Galaxy Nexus.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus new bigger battery makes the entire handset more bulky. But on functionality point of view, it augments the battery life by 13.5% more. Furthermore, a new back cover in also included to accommodate its larger size.
This extended battery of Samsung Galaxy Nexus for the GSM version ensures the customers to receive all benefits what they expect from an extended battery. This battery will turn out to be a better companion when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus charger doesn’t work.
