Samsung Galaxy Note II Now Receiving Android 4.4 kitkat Update in India

Samsung has reportedly started rolling out the Android 4.4 Kitkat update to the Indian variant of the Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100), claims a report from Sam Mobile.

The Android 4.4 Kitkat OS update to the international variant of the Galaxy Note II had already started on Friday, starting with France. The firmware build number for Android 4.4.2 KitKat is N7100XXUFND3, notes Sam Mobile.

Apparently, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II will bring several new features and improvements.

 

Here are the features you can expect from the latest Android Kitkat update: full touch screen album art, wireless printing functionality, NFC tap-to-pay support, option to set default messaging, and option to bring camera short cut on the screen.

Further, Samsung has included native apps and features, integral to Galaxy smartphones, such as Samsung Wallet and Knox security amongst others.

At the same time, the Android update (416MB) is available for download both over-the-air and through the Samsung Kies desktop application.

Samsung Galaxy Note II users in India can manually check on the availability of the new firmware on their devices.
