If you are planning to consider newly announced iPhone 5S in the coming days; we recommend you to have a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 3? There are plenty of reasons why one should consider a Galaxy Note 3 over iPhone 5S. Recently, Samsung India finally launched Galaxy Note 3 alongside the Galaxy Gear in Delhi based event.
The Galaxy Note 3 is unbelievably rocking - it inherits good looks, insanely fast processor and jaw dropping 3GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will go on sale starting September 25. The anticipated phablet will cost Rs. 49,900.
Going by the aesthetics, the Note 3 has leather- illusioned rear back cover. It is not crafted from fine leather, but the soft-touch rear back panel has worked in favor of Samsung. More or less, the Note 3 has an aura that will appeal to sophisticated educated class. The phone measures 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm and weighs 168g, just slightly heavier than iPhone 5S which weighs at 140 grams.
Further, the 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 is insanely beautiful. The increase in color saturation is very notable. We can clearly see trimmed bezels, making the display large enough.
This third gen phablet has mind blowing internal specifications. The Indian version of Galaxy Note 3 comes with 32GB of ROM (yes, you can expand internal memory up to 64GB via a microSD card slot). Moreover, the phone packs Exynos 5 Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. We were unable to judge how fast the device was, so can't say the real power of Note 3.
Samsung is the first manufacturer to come up with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean powered premium handset. Here the talk of the town is not Jelly Bean, rather than TouchWiz UI. With end number of customization options, the Note 3 is naturally Samsung's most bright child.
In the camera front, Samsung Note 3 has a 13MP rear facing camera and a 1.9MP front facing camera. The rear camera doesn't feature Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), while you will get to see Smart Stabilization feature and high CRI LED flashlight. The Camera UI is not standard Android looking UI. Samsung has added hello number of editing and customization features. You can even record Full HD 1080p videos with a 13MP camera provided. This particular version may not have 4K recording facility.
The makers have added a 3,200mAh Li Ion removable battery. This is a plus point to get Galaxy Note 3 over an iPhone 5S. Samsung has also improved famed S Pen. We tried to find whether new S Pen is more sensitive or not, thankfully Samsung was not lying. You can sense yourself, how easy for a person to sketch or write a paragraph with S Pen.
