For those who are not aware, the latest Galaxy Note 3 Neo is a tuned down variant of the original Galaxy Note 3 which the company launched last year. The hefty price tag Samsung has attached to the device pretty much does a justice to the consumers as it comes with a high-end specs. Thus in terms of specs, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo would give uses a great experience with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display offering an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. And it looks exactly like the Galaxy Note 3 with S Pen Stylus and a faux leather back cover. It has all the S Pen features under Air Command, which include: Action Memo, Scrapbook, Write Screen, Finder, Pen Window and a range of Samsung-specific software features such as Easy Clip, Multi Window, S Note, My Magazine, S Voice, S Health, Group Play, Smart Scroll, Smart Pause and more.

As said earlier the device is powered by a hexa-core processor which follows a Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) solution, which means that all cores will be functioning simultaneously. Thus the CPU consists of two 1.7GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex A7 cores powering the device along with a 2GB RAM. Sadly, the device will run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS.

In terms of imaging capabilities, there is an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash, which is capable of recording video at 1080p quality. Also add a 2MP front-facing shooter with BSI sensor which will work pretty good for taking selfies and making video calls.

The native storage comes with the capacity of 16 GB of which only 11 GB is user accessible. However you can increase the storage capacity upto 64GB via microSD card slot.

Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac (HT80), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ GLONASS and NFC.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo measures 148.4 x 77.4 x 8.6 mm and weighs 162.5 grams and is powered by a 3100 mAh Battery. The device can be purchased in Black, Mint Green and White color variants.

The Note 3 Neo offers a lesser 5.5-inch display with (HD) 720x1280 pixel resolution, and 267ppi pixel density. The display panel is a downsized variant of the original device that offered a 5.7-inch 1080p screen with 386 ppi pixel count.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is powered by two Cortex-A15 cores that are clocked at 1.7 GHz maximum, assisted by four Cortex-A7s, clocked at 1.3 GHz. However, the processing capabilities in the new device is lower than the 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 version of the original Note 3. Apart from that, Samsung is offering 2 GB of RAM in the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, compared to the 3 GB of RAM it was previously offering for the Note 3.

The original Galaxy Note 3's 13-megapixel rear camera with a capability of shooting pictures at 4128 x 3096 pixels quality is way much more better compared to the Neo's 8-megapixel camera. And while the original Note 3 offered a front-facing 2-megapixel secondary camera, the Neo, in that department, offers a 1.9-megapixel camera for video chat. However, there's no real difference is terms of video output capabilities.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.3 out of the box, contrary to the Note 3 which has already been upgraded to the latest Android version.

Since the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is a smaller variant of the original Galaxy Note 3, the new device has a less wider build compared to the original device. Thus it does make the device fit in your pocket easily and becomes easier to operate with just a single hand. But on an overall scale, the device can easily be judged as just a smaller variant of the original device with no real difference.
