Processor and RAM

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is powered by two Cortex-A15 cores that are clocked at 1.7 GHz maximum, assisted by four Cortex-A7s, clocked at 1.3 GHz. However, the processing capabilities in the new device is lower than the 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 version of the original Note 3. The original Galaxy Note 3's 13-megapixel rear camera with a capability of shooting pictures at 4128 x 3096 pixels quality is way much more better compared to the Neo's 8-megapixel camera. And while the original Note 3 offered a front-facing 2-megapixel secondary camera, the Neo, in that department, offers a 1.9-megapixel camera for video chat. However, there's no real difference is terms of video output capabilities.

Operating System

Operating System

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.3 out of the box, contrary to the Note 3 which has already been upgraded to the latest Android version.

Overall Design

Overall Design

Since the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is a smaller variant of the original Galaxy Note 3, the new device has a less wider build compared to the original device. Thus it does make the device fit in your pocket easily and becomes easier to operate with just a single hand. But on an overall scale, the device can easily be judged as just a smaller variant of the original device with no real difference.
