Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Unveiled At IFA 2013: Complete Specs and Features Are Here
Samsung has finally launched its flagship phablet, the Galaxy note 3. After years of charging users top dollar for plasticy handsets, the world's biggest phone maker has refused to mend its plasticy ways even with the Note 3. The device was launched a few hours ago at IFA 2013 in Berlin at the company's grand event.
Measure the device and you'll come up with these numbers : 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3mm, thereby making the Note 3 1.3mm narrower than its predecessor, the Note 2. It weighs 168 grams, about fifteen grams lighter than the second note. And here's some Samsung magic, the phone, despite using a larger display, has been trimmed down when it comes to over size. Instead of a plasticy back panel(which is still removeable), you get a matte leather finished rear. The devices uses an S-Pen, this time with tons of added functionality.
The Note 3 has a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED panel, which churns out a stunning 386 pixels per inch, far ahead of nits predecessors. The device will ship in two variants. The first being a variant with a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset and a second one that uses a 1.9GHz Exynos Octa-core SoC(most likely to come to India). The remaining specifications will be the same between both models. Apart from 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing shooter with smart stabilization and a 2MP front-facing shooter, the device comes loaded with Android 4.3.
Also, the device can shoot 4K video, which happens to be four times higher on quality when compared to HD. You get to choose between 32GB and 64GB for internal storage and then there's a microSDXC slot for further expansion.
Moving to connectivity, you'll find IR LED, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, MHL 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 3,200mAh removable battery. There's also LTE Cat4 support apart from quadband DC-HSPA+ 42Mbps and quadband GSM / EDGE.
