Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review: Battery and Verdict

The Note 4 is packed with a 3,220mAh battery, which is slightly bigger than the 3000mAh one in the Note 3, although it wasn't that big a deal to talk about at that time. But for the Note 4, the battery is honestly brilliant and offers great backup.

On our rigorous testing of the handset, the Note 4 lasted an impressive 12 hours (compared to the 11 hours on the iPhone 6 Plus). And as always, our testing involved playing videos, games and a plethora of stuff from YouTube while cranking them up in the maximum possible rez. And even then, the smartphone scored aces in the battery segment.

But unlike the Samsung Galaxy S5 or HTC One M8, don't expect the battery on this one to go all the way. Rather, you will still need to be in the habit of recharging your battery every night. But that doesn't mean the phone will suddenly run out of charge in the middle of the way with the user having to dash toward the nearest available charger.

As far as phablets are concerned, there's no doubt that Samsung is still leading the way with the Galaxy Note 4. The smartphone can easily withstand the competition it faces from the likes of Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, to others such as the LG G3 or the OnePlus One.

For this one, Samsung has packed in more power, better display and a great camera that sees the Note 4 coming out as an excellent and all-rounder handset. While there is the big price factor involved, the spent on it won't be money wasted.
