Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Rumor Update: Latest Report Hints At Flexible Display, Release Date and More

Samsung's next generation handset under its Note series, dubbed the Note 4, is one of the most hyped devices set to launch later this year. Although the Galaxy Note 3 was a successful smartphone of 2013, and it continues to sell exceptionally well. Meanwhile, Samsung fanboys await anxiously to get their hands on the Galaxy Note 4, which according to media reports could be launched at this year's IFA Berlin tech show.

 

Details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are rather scarce at the moment, since Samsung just announced its Galaxy S5 last month. With that being said, however, we're not able to confirm or deny the existence of the Note 4.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to feature exceptional hardware, and a new form factor. Just today, Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Note 4 could pack a flexible display.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Tipped To Feature Flexible Display

In a report from The Wall Street Journal, Lee Younghee, VP of Samsung's mobile division, has confirmed Samsung is considering using a flexible display with the Galaxy Note 4, though the final decision is yet to be taken.

There have been strong rumours suggesting the Note 4 could pack a new three-sided flexible display when it is unveiled in August or September.

In January, a senior Samsung executive told Bloomberg that the Galaxy Note 4 could come with a new display type that would allow for better viewing angles.

"Our ultimate goal is to make products that consumers really aspire to have. This is how we are trying to find a breakthrough in the stagnant premium market," said Yoon.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not coming anytime soon in the market, but that hasn't stopped gossip mongers to slip incremental details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

According to the Chinese blog site CMMO, Samsung's first 2K phone will be none other than but the Note 4. The blog site further reported that Samsung might even pack a 4K resolution display to make the Note 4 future proof at least for the time being. QHD display resolution would mean 2560 x 1440 resolution and it would mean sharper looking display when compared to a normal 1080p screen.

In an interview The Wall Street Journal, Samsung's Senior VP of Product Strategy, Yoon Han-kil, said that the Note 4 would feature a "new form factor" earlier this year. Now, another executive, Lee Younghee, VP of Samsung's mobile division, has confirmed Samsung could use a flexible display with the Galaxy Note 4, though the final design has yet to be finalized.

A new report from a Korean website, seems to confirm previous rumors that Samsung's upcoming premium handsets might come with waterproof protection.. The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to receive an IP67 certification that will make the smartphone dust-resistant and waterproof, with the ability to be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could by a Samsung-made Exynos processor with 6-cores or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, with 4GB of RAM, CNMO.com notes.

The Note 3 was released at last year's IFA Berlin tech show, so we wouldn't be surprised if Samsung release the new device in September of this year.
