Samsung is already eyeing its next big project: the Galaxy Note 5. Everybody knows it's coming out in September, but nobody knows what it is. Of course, we're curious to know about the Galaxy Note 5, but so far details are limited.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Tipped To Launch in September

Today, a new report from SamMobile reveals some of the specifications that could be included in the next-generation monster Android handset, alongside the successor to the original Galaxy Note Edge.

It's being reported that Samsung is currently testing several components for the Galaxy Note 5. According to the published report, the forthcoming phone could feature the same 2K resolution display or possibly adopt a 4K panel.

The report further claims the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is being tested with an Exynos 7422 chipset, which reportedly includes a custom made CPU, GPU, RAM, storage and a modem all on a single chip. Apparently, the Korean giant is also testing a monster 7430 chip, though it may not see a day light until next year.

That's not all Samsung is also working the second-generation Galaxy Note Edge, which could be announced in September this year. It is codenamed "Project Zen", and will have a 5.4 or 5.5-inch AMOLED display with the dual curved display, a Snapdragon 808 processor, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and an S Pen stylus.

But the question remains: is a new Galaxy Note 5 really the answer to Samsung's woes?
