Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 To Launch in India Sooner Than Expected

Samsung will soon start retailing a brand new affordable Android based smartphone in the Indian market. The handset appears to be a successor to the popular Galaxy S Duos (SM-7562), which is currently on sale at a price point of Rs. 8700.

Multiple-reports have suggested that Samsung is preparing to announce the Galaxy S Duos 2 (SM-7582) in the coming days to come.

The first set of leak came our way, when a Hungarian website got to know about the internal specifications of Galaxy S Duos 2. The website also leaked alleged pictures of the soon to be announced phone.

Back home, AndroidOS.in confirmed that the Galaxy S Duos 2 could be announced in India as early as possible. The blog also named a key retailer Mahesh Telecom, who apparently told them that the Samsung Galaxy S Duos will be made available in India shortly at a price of Rs.11,230 with best price of Rs. 10,990.

Today, Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has appeared in a shipping manifest on Zuaba, carrying a model number GT-S7582. The records show that some 100 units of Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 were imported from China on November 26. The listing also highlighted the internal specs of Galaxy S Duos 2. As per the shipping details, Samsung Galaxy S Duos will feature a 4-inch display.

Moreover, the device comes with a dual SIM functionality, a key highlight feature of the Galaxy S Duos 2. The import details also confirmed model number GT-S7582. Samsung has already started importing the handset in white color in different batches.

According to the Tech2.hu, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 will have a 4-inch display having a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The handset also features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory (expandable storage supported). Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 will be seen running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The phone is also expected to have company's acclaimed Multi Window feature.

Since, Samsung has already started importing the Galaxy S Duos 2 in India. Therefore, it is safe to say that the Indian launch of Galaxy S Duos 2 is imminent.
