Galactic Wars: Samsung Galaxy S VS Samsung Galaxy R

Today we make a comparative study of two of 2 Smartphone models from Samsung. One is the already popular Samsung Galaxy S which is doing pretty well in sales worldwide and the other is the recently announced and soon to be launched Samsung Galaxy R.
Both Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy R features are that they are high end Smartphones. The Galaxy S has a 4.0 inch Super AMOLED full capacitive touch screen based display whereas the upcoming Galaxy R has a larger 4.2 inch capacitive Super LCD full touch screen display.
On the camera front both the phones offer a 5 Mega Pixel rear camera that also allows high definition video recording in 720p format. But the Galaxy R has a 1.3 Mega pixel front camera for better quality video chat in 3G networks as compared to the VGA front camera of the Galaxy S.
Both the phones offer the latest in multimedia and infotainment specs. They are loaded with software required for the playback and recording of music and video files in a number of well known multimedia formats. The phones support MP3, MP4, WAV, WMV, AAC+ and even high definition h263 and h264 video formats. Besides offering these features both Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy R offer an FM Radio with RDS and also provide universal audio device connectivity via a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The phones are high on connectivity options as well as communication and internet technologies. The Galaxy R and Galaxy S offer Bluetooth and USB PC connectivity and offers Wi-Fi internet connectivity. They support GPRS and EDGE internet browsing as well as high speed 3G internet surfing with data transfer speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
