When it comes to the successort of Galaxy S3 smartphone - Galaxy S4, there are a plethors of rumors building a great hype regarding the handset. But, there is no official confirmation on when the handset will be launched or what will be its specifications.
However, Kit Lam, Chief Innovation Officer at SERI (Samsung Electronics Research Institute) has accidentally confirmed the presence of Galaxy S4 during a presentation. Though Lam did not reveal anyother details about the handset, its name - Galaxy S4 has been confirmed.
Recently, there have been lots of rumors and speculations about Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone for 2013 and tech experts acorss the globe have started guessing the possible hardware and software of the device. Hence, here are a few speculated and most talked about features of Galaxy S4.
Speculations are rife that Galaxy S4 will get unwrapped boasting a 5 inch OLED HD display along with highly acclaimed 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 441 ppi pixel density. Further, some reports claim that the handset will have a bendable display, thereby being the first device to feature such a display, while some others claim it will not.
Several media reports suggest that the Galaxy S3 successor will house Samsung Exynos S450 chipset with 2GHz quad core Cortex A15 processor, with powerful features.
Likewise, the rumors of Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, Samsung is rumored to use a 13MP rear shooter in Galaxy S4 as well. Galaxy S4 was rumored to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS which is an incremental version of 4.1 Jelly Bean. However, suddenly, there are reports circulating over the web that the upcoming smartphone will be the first handset to run on Android 5.0 - the next generation Google operating system, Key Lime Pie.
When it comes to storage, several reports claim that the upcoming Samsung offering will be available in 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB variants, which is not present in any existing smartphone.
Speaking of release date, Galaxy S4 is speculated to be unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 or Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 events early next year. However, recent reports claim an April release.
Besides these top rumors, report are also talking about Samsung Galaxy S4 to land with 2GB of RAM, 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera with built-in Skype, 4G LTE data speed, 3200 mAh battery and a slimmer and more unique design and much more upgraded than its current flagship model Galaxy S3.
