Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 Will Soon Receive Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update
Here's some great news for all you folks out there currently owning a Samsung-made Galaxy S4 or S5 smartphones. According to reports, both the Samsung heavyweight devices are heavily set to receive the new Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.
As gathered from a brand new leaked document charting out the roadmap for the release, it has been understood that Samsung has already finished testing the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the Galaxy S5 SM-G900F and SM-G900H handsets.
But that's not all as the company has even finished the final testing of the update for the Galaxy S4 LTE-A model. Moreover, the roll-out period of the OS update for the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 handsets has been set as June and July, respectively.
However, first on the new leaked scene was Android Geeks. The site writes that Android 4.4.3 is not really regarded as a major update, "so don't get your hopes too high."
"For what it's worth, the Android 4.4.3 update for Nexus and Google Play edition devices arrived with bug fixes and a redesigned Phone Dialer app with card-based interface and a new color scheme for the phone dialer itself."
Nonetheless, the firmware listed on the leaked document for both the Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F and SM-G900H variants are G900FXXUOBNE6 and G900HXXUOBNE3 respectively. The Galaxy S4 GT-I9506, on the other hand, features firmware number I9506XXUQDNE4.
The Android 4.4.3 update, as of now, has already reached the popular Moto G offering from Motorola for both the single SIM international variant and dual-SIM India variant.
More information on the possible push out of the new update is expected in the next few days. For the time being, however, keep a check on GizBot for your technology fix.
