Samsung Galaxy S4 Started Receiving Android Lolliopop 5.0.1 Update in India

The South-Korean giant, Samsung has started rolling out Android Lollipop 5.0 update for Galaxy S4 in the Indian market. The update is now available over-the-air (OTA) and via Kies application also. This update Android Lollipop 5.0.1 has a size of about 990MB, which has changes like updated version TouchWiz UX, new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI design, refreshing notification system.

It allows the users to see the notification in the lock screen and heads up notification are displayed like banners on the top of the screen. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by the apps.

Samsung users will automatically gets a notification in their mobile, once it reaches the device, or they can manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

Reiterating the specification of S4, it sports a 5-inch display with 1080x1920 pixels which translates into 441ppi. It is clocked at 1.6GHz octa-core processor alongside 2GB RAM. Moreover, this device is packed with 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera along with 16GB of internal memory and 64GB expandable memory.
