Waterproof and Dust Resistant Samsung Galaxy S4 in Works, Could Arrive This Summer
The coming of Sony Xperia Z in the market has alarmed other tech vendors to announce water and dustproof handsets. In countries like Japan, this feature is quite popular since past few years. Some of the biggest Japanese companies such as Casio, Sanyo and others, have come up with their respective offerings. It is said that waterproof phones have some relation with Japanese bathtubs. Coming back to the story, these rugged devices have large numbers of followers scattered around the world.
And the success of Sony's Xperia Z in the international market has motivated a South Korean based giant to offer waterproof-cum- dustproof handset in the coming weeks. Samsung, the mighty maker behind the Samsung Galaxy S3, is believed to be working rugged version of the Galaxy S4 with water and dustproof capabilities. Recently, Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 in the Middle East. The event was held at Armani Hotel, Dubai, where during the Q&A sessions, Young Soo Kim President Samsung Gulf, told the media that the company is indeed working on rugged handset. The device will be out in the new few weeks (via Tech View).

Take this information as lightly as possible. It is not known whether Samsung is planning to announce water and dustproof version of the Galaxy S4 globally or it would be limited to South Korean release. In 2011, the South Korean vendor had come up with the Samsung Galaxy Xcover: a neat looking Android handset with dust and water protection. The release was limited to select territories. In the current life span of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the tech vendor announced tons of different types of variants, but never launched rugged built quality handset. These days Samsung is analyzing its competitors move in a minutest manner. If the above mentioned rumors turn out to be true then get ready to experience better quality, and of course attractive Samsung Galaxy S4 in your hands.
