Samsung Galaxy S5 Hands on and First Look: Interesting Yes, Killer Smartphone - Not Really
Samsung Galaxy S5- Fingerprint sensor and Heart-rate monitor
To make sure the Galaxy S5 gets thumbs up from users; Samsung intelligently integrates the fingerprint sensor into the screen above the home button. All you need to do is swipe your finger down half over the bottom portion of the display and home button to register your finger prints.
The fingerprint reader scans your finger eight times before it registers your profile. Moreover, you can add profiles for three fingerprints, and you get a backup password in case the identification fails. This thing worked really well and is quite impressive.
Aside from the fingerprint scanner, Samsung has added a heart-rate monitor. The feature is pretty much predictable; you need to hold your finger over the heart-rate monitor to take your pulse-the area glows red when you launch it from the S Health 3.0 app. The heart-rate monitor when integrated with the S Health 3.0 app gives you a detailed analysis of your health.
Samsung Galaxy S5- One Last word
To be precise, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is not a ridiculous piece of hardware. The phone may not have a sensual appeal, but the design is genuinely very practical for those who are constantly connected, all thanks to it waterproof body. The 16MP rear-facing camera is actually far better than competing devices. The Galaxy S5 is an interesting device, but Samsung needs to price it well. The phone will go on sale in India from April 11 onwards in four flashy colors.
