After the release of Apple iPhone 5 successor - iPhone 5S, the next most talked about smartphone release is the Samsung Galaxy S4 successor - Galaxy S5. Consequently, reports are in that South Korean giant Samsung could announce metal crafted Galaxy S5 in early 2014. The world's largest manufacturer of mobile handsets has been often criticized for manufacturing cheap "polycarbonate bendable plastic" devices, hence looks like Samsung is planning to attend to it's consumer needs this time.

The Samsung Galaxy S4, which was announced earlier this year, was criticized for its build quality. Most of the time, comparisons were being made between Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S4 build quality. For a change, Samsung has used faux leather to make Galaxy Note 3 elegant looking. Now it seems that Samsung could ship Galaxy S5 also, with all new metal design.

The folks over at Taipei Times have tipped that Samsung is in talk with Catcher Technology Co for Galaxy S5 production, the contract manufacture behind Apple MacBook Air and iPad mini tablet. Reportedly, the contract manufacturer will likely to receive new smartphone orders early next year, claims Barclays Capital Securities Taiwan Ltd.

"Samsung is close to a final decision on the adoption of metal casings in at least one of its high-end smartphone models from the second quarter next year," said the report.

"Our checks suggest Catcher has been qualified as one of the major sources on the total metal casing smartphone volumes at 10 [million to] 30 million next year from Samsung," the analysts wrote.

"The final order allocation is to be confirmed in early first quarter 2014, subject to price bids by approved vendors," added the report.

Last week, Samsung mobile chief Shin Jong-kyun confirmed that the Galaxy S5 would feature a 64-bit processor, just like Apple's latest iPhone 5S.

According to a recent report by Korean Times, it was said that Galaxy S5 would feature a 64-bit processor to take on Apple's iPhone 5S which comes with a 64 Bit (A7) processor as well.

Reportedly, a Samsung Executive informed that the latest 64 Bit Architecture Chip would come "not in the shortest time," but; "our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing capability." More precisely, these upcoming handsets from Samsung would be using ARMv8 64-bit architecture.

Well, there is no confirmed report or tech insider tip on the display size or screen of Galaxy S5, however, recently a report suggested that the next generation handset will sport a larger screen display using Sharp's new IGZO screen technology, also incorporated with 4K resolution that will enable users to play videos and movies that have resolutions that are beyond Full HD.

At the same time, report have also informed that Galaxy S5 would sport a 16 MP camera sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to beat the likes of Nokia Lumia 1020 and other super camera phones.
