As said earlier, when the announcement of the Galaxy S5 smartphone took place in India, Samsung said that it would release the device in the market on 11th of April, which is today. And here it is already available on multiple e-commerce sites and is priced at Rs. 51,499. The device was first unveiled globally at the MWC 2014 event that took place in Barcelona, Spain back in February.
The device is very attractive and comes with a high-end specs and features but the price of the device is not yet justified altogether. But hopefully the price might get cut-down soon as Samsung usually does with its high-end devices. Just yesterday the company nearly brought down the price of the Galaxy Golden flip phone's price by 50%.
The Galaxy S5 smartphone is probably not the only flagship device that the fans are going to see this year as rumors and leaks pertaining to the higher-range variant of the Galaxy S5 called with the name Galaxy F has also been hitting the headlines off late. On top of that, three more unknown devices were also spotted on the Zauba database recently of which one was reportedly said to be the Galaxy S5 Zoom. However, things are very vague as of now but, surely these devices have already landed in India for testing purposes and this means that it is close to seeing the light of the day.
However, coming back to the Galaxy S5 smartphone, which is already available in India, you might want to check out the specs of the device. But before that, AndroidOS notes that there is an offer for the Citibank credit card holders. The blog says that the buyers can claim about 20% cashback on Rs. 51,499 price-tag. The camera which Samsung has used in this phone is something that can be considered as one of the best as it features a mechanism which allows the users to auto focus the subject in less than 0.3 seconds which means that you can also shoot moving objects with ease. There is a 2MP front-facing shooter which is enough for taking selfies and making video calls.
Moreover, the Galaxy S5 will be offered in two variants depending on the internal storage capacity i.e. 16GB or 32GB. But you will also get a microSD card support via which the storage can be enhanced up to 128GB. It uses (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) 2x2 MIMO, USB3.0, BT 4.0(LE) connectivity options.
