Samsung Galaxy S5: Two Variants Spotted on AnTuTu Benchmarking Site

In the last few weeks there are rumors about a Galaxy S5, now thanks to a new report , which suggests that the much talked about handset might be made available in two variants.

South Korea's largest handset manufacturer Samsung, which has already started making noise about its upcoming flagship, is expected to release two version of Galaxy 5. Yes, you heard it right.

The report has claimed that the Galaxy S5 has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks in two variants: SM-G900H and SM-G900R4. Earlier, a report in the past had claimed that Samsung might announce two version of Galaxy 5: one with premium finish and the other one with plastic chassis.

SamMobile has compared Samsung's move with the Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple. Last year, Apple launched two different iPhone models: the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. Both devices were targeted at different segments all together. In the same manner, it is believed that Samsung will follow Apple, by coming up with two uniquely designed handsets catering to different segments.

According to a report, the premium variant of the Galaxy S5 i.e. SM-G900R4 , features a 2.5GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC) SoC Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, QHD (2560×1400) resolution display, 16-megapixel main camera sensor and 2.1-megapixel front facing camera. The device is seen running Android 4.2.2 Kitkat. Additionally, the report also shed light on the AnTuTu benchmark results. The Samsung Galaxy S5's SM-G900R4 scored 31,843 points in the benchmark. There is no update on its external design as of now.

Based on benchmark results, the second version of Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) comes with a similar 16MP camera and latest Android OS as seen on the SM-G900R4. Its specs sheet includes: an Octa-core Samsung Exynos 5422 SoC with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, ARM Mali-T628 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Full HD (1920×1080) resolution display, 16-megapixel main camera sensor, 2.1-megapixel front facing camera , and runs latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat mobile OS. The Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) scored a cool 35,445 points in the benchmark.

The Galaxy S5 is said to be insanely powerful under the hood. Reportedly, it will feature a unique fingerprint scanner. If Samsung wants to further penetrate into high-end smartphone market, the company has to come up with somthing unexpected. Samsung has scheduled February 25 , as the day when company is said to announce the Galaxy S5.
