While the Samsung Galaxy S5 is equipped with a Octa Core Processor Adonis Prime2 (Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) + XMM6360, its Sony counterpart powers up the Xperia Z2 via a slightly lesser 2.3 GHz quad core processor with the similar Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset.

The Xperia Z2, in this respect, also offers a greater 3GB of RAM although arriving only in a 16 GB internal memory variant. And similar to the S5, this device also has the option to expand the device's memory up to 128 GB with an external microSD slot present.

Conclusion
The biggest hurdle that the Galaxy S5 has in this race is its price factor that will surely make few of the eye brows lift if considering buying the device.
And that's because no everyone is open to the idea of a smartphone that will cost more than 50k. However, given the kind of features and specifications, with all the health features included, it seems like the S5 has been priced somewhat fairly.

The Xperia Z2, on the other hand, is yet to get an official price tag. And with its features and specifications on offer, there could be a chance that if the company decided to put a price tag to the device that's less than 50k, then we could surely have a close match on our hands. But only time will tell as to who gains the upper hand in this high-profile race.
