Samsung Galaxy S6 to be launched on March 2 at MWC 2015?

One of the most anticipated flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S6 will be launched at MWC on March 2, says Samsung senior official to the Korean media. As per the report, Samsung has developed multiple prototype of Galaxy S6 and yet to finalize the design which one will become official. So this might explain, why did we see many different designs and leaks from metal-body to dual edge, to glass back panel so far.

The source also says that the South-Korean handset manufacturer hasn't confirmed about the use of dual-edged display or traditional form factor. But all other evidence hints that, Samsung is planning on releasing two flagship phones: a Galaxy S6 and a dual-edged Galaxy S6 Edge.

As per the rumors, Samsung Galaxy S6 is said to be packed with 5.5-inch QHD display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 810/Exynos 7420 chipset, 20MP rear camera, and 5MP front facing camera.

On the other hand, Samsung market share drops to 28 percent in 2014. According to TrendForce, Samsung continued to lead the market in 2014, having 28 percent of the smartphone market, but that number had fallen from 32.5 percent in 2013. Also, its third-quarter income on mobile had tumbled down to 74 percent and its operating profits were the lowest they had seen since the middle of 2011. Moreover, few months back Samsung announced that it would cut the cost of smartphones, which will be launched in 2015.
