Powered with a latest Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system, the all rugged Samsung Galaxy Xcover Smartphone is about to be launched. The new Samsung mobile will be in high demand under the same category in the present day as the Motorola Defy. The new mobile phone has features that qualified it to be called as a better rugged phone available in the market. It is an Android Smartphone too. It was last year when Samsung Xcover 271 was launched with the phone featuring some of the basic rugged mobile specification. But this time with the new Samsung Galaxy Xcover, the company has planned to play big.

The new mobile phone comes with an IP67 certification which itself defines the high resistance capacity the phone is sure to offer when it comes to rough handling. The new mobile phone is thus certified for it's made with a powerful body, so as to withstand some of the harsh situations it possibly will have to face. The phone is dust resistant and known to defend well against the hard hits on solid surfaces. The phone can withstand almost all kind of adverse climatic conditions. The phone is known to function without trouble even after being drowned in water for 30 minutes. The water resistance capability this new Samsung mobile phone thus possesses is pretty impressive.

The screen is scratch resistant and is made of tempered glass. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover is powered internally with its 800 MHz processor. The storage of the device is a 150 MB internal. However, the storage can be expanded up to a magnificent 32 GB with a microSD. The connectivity utilities are as usual a WLAN 802.11 b/g/ n. An efficient Bluetooth device can also be found with a version 3.0 update. The device has a well protected 3.2 mega pixel camera assisted with a LED flash which will function as the camera flash light. In addition, a VGA front camera is also provided. The camera comes handy in making undisrupted video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover which demonstrates a very high resistance against its harsh environment is also very powerful internally. The phone is expected to have its price rated at the ordinary Galaxy price range or may be a bit higher considering the added power of the phone as a whole.
