Samsung has over a 100 different mobile handsets available globally with many more waiting in the dark to be launched.

Today we compare two of Samsung"s globally competing mobile handsets that might do the same in the Indian market soon. The models under study are Samsung Gravity Smart Touch 2 and Samsung Gravity T.

Samsung Gravity T model was launched last year, whereas the new model, Samsung Gravity Smart is expected soon. Both the models are Smartphone"s that have a wide range of multimedia applications and specs. They offer top of the line Smartphone capabilities such as Document Viewer, Organizer, Scheduler and much more.

On the looks department both the phones offer a touch screen and also offer a sliding physical QWERTY keypad. But the keypad of Gravity T is more ergonomically designed and is a definite eye catcher. The phones feature a good display size of 2.8 inches for Gravity Smart Touch 2 and 3 inches for the Gravity T.

Both the models have support for the latest in entertainment and multimedia software suites like Music Player, Video player and offers support for playback of a number of known media files formats like MP3, MP4 and WMV. The Gravity T however has better clarity speakers and bigger display. So it provides a better Audio and Visual experience as compared to the Gravity Smart Touch 2. The phones have a 3.5 mm headphone or Audio jack in common that can be used to connect to external loud speakers or for private enjoyment of your favourite music.

The phones have the latest in connectivity and communications technologies like Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and USB PC Sync but the Samsung Gravity Smart Touch 2 features offers much more like Wi-Fi and high speed internet connectivity via 3G that offers internet speeds of up to 4 Mbps. The phones have decent internal memory backup but the external memory expansion capacity is more for the Gravity Smart Touch 2 which stands at 32GB as compared to the 8 GB of the other.

The Gravity T runs on a Proprietary Java based OS whereas the Gravity Smart Touch 2 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS.

Thus these phones will surely be a hit in their respective segments, but in a comparison with each other, the Samsung Gravity Smart Touch 2 features just outsmarts the Samsung Gravity T.
