Samsung Mobile today strengthened its multimedia phone portfolio by launching its ultimate entertainer 8 mega pixel phone Samsung INNOV8 in the Indian market.

"Samsung INNOV8 takes mobile handset photography and multimedia experience to new hights offering users a top of the range camera technology, a surround-sound cinematic video experience, mobile internet browsing experience and gaming capabilities," Country Head Sunil Dutt told reporters here on the occasion of launching the new product.

 

Efficiently designed for mobile multimedia, the new product in the 'super phone' category was provided with the most innovative 24/7 multimedia entertainment features, he added.

"It also offers a fun, easy to use experience for those who want to get the most from the mobiles," he said.

He said with 8 mega pixel camera, pre-embedded 3D games, high speed data connections and much more, users could experience the true benefits of mobile entertainment.

Samsung's first ever 8 mega pixel camera phone was provided with latest applications such as smile shot, blink shot and face recognition so that the memorable moments could be stored in their best quality, he added.

The phone was priced at Rs 45,999, he said.

Mr Dutt said the company had planned to launch at least ten new models in the category of music, camera and business in this year.

He said the company was planning to capture the 15 per cent of the market share in mobile segment in the next few months with a stress on rural marketing.
