Samsung June 20 Event, Galaxy S4 Mini, Note 510 and Galaxy Young: All That You Should Know

The Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9195) has not been announced yet, but the device made its way to Samsung UK website a little early. The mini version of popular S4 was accidentally caught as premium compatible device. The device is yet to arrive officially on Samsung own store. The listing of Samsung Galaxy S4 mini was later removed from company's app site (via Redmond Pie). The handset is said to be announced later this month along with Galaxy Active and the Galaxy Zoom. Until now, it was being said that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini would arrive in black colour. There was no information at all that suggests another crazy colour. Now according to a new report by Sam Mobile, the existence of white colour is indeed real.

Samsung June 20 Event - What All to Expect?

Samsung could announce the Galaxy S4 Mini on May 30(via UnwiredView). Now it is reported that, Samsung has sent a press invites in London for the Samsung Premiere 2013, set on June 20. It is being predicted that South Korean giant will unveil new Galaxy and ATIV Samsung Premiere devices. The invite also hints that a couple of new tablets including Samsung series 9 with the high-resolution screen (Windows ATIV) and Galaxy S4 Zoom (Android GALAXY) could come into light. But what more could be unveiled by Samsung? Well, all are assuming that Samsung could also unwrap Galaxy S4 mini.

Galaxy S4 Mini - Features?

Reportedly, it will feature a 4.3-inch AMOLED qHD display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It should pack 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, is also expected. Without any doubt, it will flaunt 8GB of ROM which can be further expanded up to 32GB through microSD cards. The handset won't use quad-core processor like Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro instead it uses 1.6GHz dual-core processor, Wi-Fi, 3G , 4G LTE , Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2100mAh battery inside. As per growing rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will have more than two variants. There could be a separate version ready for China. After all, Samsung will announce 4G LTE version too.

After throwing devices one after another to the market Samsung has created a tough competition to brands like Apple, Blackberry and others. This event that is supposedly happening in London may add another spec of advantage to the already overpowered brand. Following Apple's WWDC which is set to go on June 10 to 14, Samsung may have planned to do this covert event just to over-ride the devices unveiled by them with their own on June 20.

What About Samsung Galaxy Note 510?

In another set of news, @Evleaks reported that Samsung has plans to announce brown colored Galaxy Note 510 in the coming weeks. The Brown Black Galaxy Note 510 is expected to announce around week 25. The tablet comes with an 8-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (720p HD) ,1.6-GHz quad core processor (Exynos 4412), Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 2GB of RAM, a 5-mega pixel rear facing camera, S-Pen, Wi-Fi, 3G calling , A-GPS, Bluetooth, and 16GB of internal memory under the hood. It sells for Rs. 30, 990 , in the Indian market ( white version).

Samsung Galaxy Young India Release

At the same time, when it comes to the Indian market, Galaxy series has been enhanced with another budget device, Samsung Galaxy Young. It is now officially available on the Samsung e-store for Rs. 8,010.

Talking about the specs, the smartphone is a dual-SIM smartphone which is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and backed by 728 MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a 3-megapixel rear camera and lacks on front camera. With a 3.27 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 256K colors, it is slightly bigger than the Galaxy Star and has a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It comes with 4GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 64GB via external microSD. The device is powered by a 1,300mAh battery.

The device comes with the Samsung TouchWiz UI. It supports the Samsung Motion UI and comes pre loaded with Samsung applications such as ChatOn, S Cloud and Game Hub Lite.

Regarding connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Young supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB. The smartphone comes with an accelerometer, a geomagnetic sensor, and proximity sensor. It has various preloaded apps including CloudSync, ChatON, YouTube, Google Play store, Gmail, Google Talk, Google, Google Voice Typing and Google+.

At this price point the phone will be competing with the likes of LG Optimus L3 2 , Lava Iris 455 and Xolo X500

This may just be the phase where Samsung may be waiting for the June 20 to approach. Releasing the budget phone may mesmerize the other companies and people but Samsung fans who are aware of the upcoming Samsung event has already kept their hands crossed for its 20th June surprise. However, Samsung Galaxy Young may keep the market running for them till then.
