Samsung launches 5 new dual SIM phones in India


Samsung has expanded its Galaxy range in India by the addition of three new models to the same. They have also introduced two new feature phones. All the phones added are dual SIM models.

The models added in the Galaxy line up are Y Pro Duos (GT B5512), Ace Duos (SCH-i589) and Y Duos (GT-S6012). The feature phones added go by the name Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos (C3312) and Star3 Duos (GT –S5222).

The first model in the line up is Ace Duos, which is a small compact dual SIM phone that supports CDMA and GSM networks. The phone runs in Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and the processor inside it is clocked at 832 MHz. The phone has HVGA resolution display and has a size of 8.89 cm. The phone has EvDO capability which means that it can attain data speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps in CDMA network. The battery which is said to give 7 hours of talk time has a capacity of 1,650mAh. The phone comes with a price tag of about Rs.17,000/-.

Galaxy Y Pro Duos is claimed to be the first Dual SIM android phone that sports a QWERTY keyboard. This is a touch and type device and the screen accept touch inputs. There is an optical track pad too that allows for easy navigation. The phone has a battery capacity of 1,350mAh and the screen is of 6.5 cm LQVGA touch screen type. The phone is priced at about Rs.11,000/-.

Samsung Y Duos will be the first full touch dual SIM model from Samsung. The phone has a 3.14 inch screen and runs using an 832 MHz processor. The phone is loaded with many applications for video streaming, social networking etc. The phone is priced at about Rs.10,000/-.

Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos has a virtual QWERTY keyboard. The phone is integrated with Bluetooth version 3.0 that gives data transfer speeds of up to 24 Mbps. The phone has a 1.3 mega pixel camera too. The device comes with a price tag of about Rs. 5,800/-.


The last device in this line up is Samsung Star 3 Duos. This is a feature high phone and has a good spec list too. The screen has a size of 3 inch and has QVGA resolution. The main shooter is of 3 mega pixels resolution. This phone comes with a price tag of about Rs. 7,000/-.

With the introduction of all this models now the Indian consumers have a huge variety of Samsung mobile phone models to choose from according to their demands.
