Guru Music, Guru 1207: Samsung Budget Feature Phones Launched in India at Rs 1,730 and Rs 1,250

Samsung is all set to strengthen its entry-level mobile phone offerings with the launch of Samsung Guru Music and Samsung Guru 1207 handsets. The company is offering free music and game downloads with its two basic dual SIM handsets, for its Indian customers. Both the products differ in its features and characteristics. Company sources confirmed that Guru Music mobile phone will be released as a successor to its predecessor Hero Music phone.

 

Samsung Guru Music

Samsung Guru Music will feature Dual SIM functionality allowing users to enjoy the service of multiple carrier networks within a single device. The device also features connectivity features such as Bluetooth and GPRS which ensures smoother internet access along with faster data transfer between two devices. Samsung Guru Music will ship with a 1,000 mAh battery which is capable of providing 12 hours of talk-time. Reports suggest that Samsung Guru Music will be made available for users at a price tag of Rs.1,730.

 

Samsung Guru 1207

Samsung Guru 1207 on the other hand focuses more on prolonged battery life and is ideal for users who are regularly on the move. Further the device will have a torch which can be used while travelling during night hours and also an FM Radio that allows users to enjoy music from major Radio stations in India, round the clock. Samsung has ensured easier SIM management with ‘smart dual-SIM function’.

Reports where as Guru 1207 will be available for Rs.1,250. Samsung Guru 1207 will feature an 800 mAh battery, capable of providing 8 hours of talk time.

The pricings make both the products very much affordable for mass Indian consumers.

Sources close to Samsung have informed that the company is partnering with several operators for offering free music and game downloads for those purchasing its Samsung Guru Music mobile phone. However the company has not confirmed this information. Samsung is trying to compete with Nokia’s entry level phones such as Nokia Asha which also offers free music for its users.
