Samsung has been one of the most important smartphone maker, which has helped Google's mobile platform Android take a stronghold in almost all the major markets across the globe. Thus Samsung has globally become one and only potential rival against Apple.

Just a day ago, at the International Mobile World Congress 2014, Samsung made a series of announcements of its new product lineup. From chipsets, wearable computing devices to the most awaited Galaxy S5 smartphone, all were brought up to the stage at the international event which took place in Barcelona, Spain.

Although Samsung's Galaxy S5 has disappointed quite a number of fans in a different ways altogether, it has made an astonishing move with new wearable device with curved display technology.

One reason why Galaxy S5 must have hurt the expectation of the fans could be because of the hype that it received over the couple of months prior to the official launch. Speaking precisely, rumors then had it that the Galaxy S5 would feature a 2K display which means twice the quality of a Full HD display and also a 64 Bit Processor was expected. But these failed to feature in the device. However, the good thing was, at least a fingerprint sensor came attached to it.

Looking a the increasing number of fans of the South Korean tech giant, it is worth highlighting the important developments that took place at the MWC 2014 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung Electronics introduced the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo designed to take the freedom, convenience and style of wearable technology to the next level. The Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo offer consumers enhanced connectivity and a completely integrated approach for the most personal wearable experience.

Samsung Exynos Socs

Samsung revealed six new products at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, Spain: Exynos 5 mobile AP, image sensor, NFC, Wifi Chipsets, and others. Samsung will expand its presence in the market offering optimized products like updated Exynos 5 Octa with the new Exynos 5422 for premium mobile devices and Exynos 5260 Hexa-Core SoC for mid-range smartphones.

Samsung Knox

Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd., today announced KNOX 2.0, the evolution of KNOX, the company's end-to-end secure mobile platform solution designed to provide advanced data and privacy protection for enterprise users. The new features better support IT departments looking for reassurance and convenience as they implement and manage their Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategies.

Top 10 Companies Of the Year

Samsung Electronics announced 10 contractors named as Small but Strong Companies of the Year 2014. Samsung Electronics held a ceremony to celebrate those companies chosen as Small but Strong Companies at Suwon Samsung Digital City on the 25th in the attendance of the Vice Chairman and CEO Kwon Oh-Hyun and Partnership Center VP Choi Byung-seok. With this program, Samsung supports its contractors to grow into global part manufacturers with competitive edge contributing to the development of domestic industry.
