Samsung Galaxy Round was an interesting smartphone, but it hardly made any impact on the high-end smartphone market. Now, it seems that Samsung may be preparing a sequel, new reports have claimed.

According to a tweet from @upleaks, the South Korean tech giant is working hard on a premium device with a model number SM-G930. Further, PhoneArena predicts that the SM-G930 model number could be the Galaxy Round 2. If true, the alleged handset will probably rival the LG G Flex 2.

The original Galaxy Round, which made its debut in 2013, features a 5.7-inch display, utilises a different curvature to the G Flex. It is curved from the top and bottom.

Samsung Galaxy Round- Highlighted Specifications

The Galaxy Round is powered by Snapdragon 800 chipset along with Adreno 330 graphics and 3 GB of RAM. It also features 32GB of native storage and a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. There's a 13 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front shooter. The makers have added a 2,800mAh battery.

If Samsung is really investing its time and money on the development of the Galaxy Round 2, we could see the device's arrival in the second half of 2015. The high-end handset from Samsung will face direct competition from LG G Flex 2.
