In a recent development, Samsung Electronics has taken a quick step ahead of MWC 2013 and has officially uncovered their rugged smartphone offering Samsung Xcover 2, the successor of Galaxy Xcover which was released in the market sometime in 2011.

As informed by the company press release, Galaxy Xcover 2 is a dust and waterproof smartphone. The smartphone will debut in the market with pre-downloaded Google map data, an enhanced GPS + GLONASS to track location accurately, LED Flash and a huge battery capacity of 570 hours(1,700mAh). In addition, the Cardio Trainer Pro workout application will also help achieve fitness goals by creating a tailored training program, checking your progress and recording your track and speed.

Further, Galaxy Xcover 2 will boast a vivid 4.0 inch WVGA display, 5-megapixel camera and VGA front camera, Bluetooth v 4.0, 1GHz dual core processor and the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.

Further, the smartphone will come equipped with software features including S-Cloud; S Voice, Smart Stay and other benefits of Samsung Hubs, including the latest versions of Readers Hub, Video Hub, Game Hub and Music Hub.
