Snapfon ez ONE-c is the new and improved version of the Snapfon ez ONE. The device has gone through some major updates compared to its older brother. You wont take much time setting up the phone since it is a ‘no-complications’ device. The overall colour scheme of the device is dark grey and features very large buttons. There is a red SOS button at the back. This is a very compact phone and there won’t be any problem finding a place for it in the back pack or in your pocket. A LCD screen is there at the front and it has an amber back light colour. The screen is of 1.6 inches with a resolution of 128 x 48 pixels. The screen shows the signal strength, battery life and also date and time. The buttons are unusually very large and using it is very easy.

This GSM based phone is compatible with 4 different frequencies. So there won’t be a problem of having to find a compatible network any where around the world. The phone has no extra features including Bluetooth or camera. The lack of Bluetooth may come as a small drawback since it is compulsory in many countries to use hands free Bluetooth headsets while driving. The call quality of the phone is amazingly good. There is an inbuilt vibrate feature that notifies you when there is a call. Critics have pointed out that it could have been a bit stronger.

For entertainment purpose there is an inbuilt FM radio. The radio too has good reception but it would sound better over a pair of ear phones rather than through the phones speaker. The SOS switch is also very practical since it would be the beat resort in times of trouble. Pressing and holding it down would send alert messages to preprogrammed numbers or nearest emergency services and call them until a call is connected.

Snapfon ez ONE-c comes with a price tag of more than Rs.3,000/- in India.
