Sony Announces Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Entire Xperia Z Series
When the KitKat version was launched, Android fans went absurdly excited and the iOS update was even high in intensity. It was as if, some sort of cold war was underway between Android fans and iOS fans.
Anyways, Google announced its new version - the Lollipop (v5.0) just two days ago smartphone makers are already starting to announce the same update for their selected devices. Among the first ones to announce the update for their devices is the premium smartphone maker Sony.

Sony announced that it will be updating the entire Xperia Z series with Android 5.0 Lollipop. These devices include Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition will be the first device to receive the update sometimes in the next few weeks.
"We've been working hard to bring this major update to as many of our Z Series devices as we can, as quickly as we can. We're really excited about the new Sony features & functionality and the improvements we've made to the user experience - and we'll be sharing more soon," stated Sony via a blog post.
HTC also announced yesterday that the latest Android update will come to One (M8) and One (M7). Motorola also announced that the Lollipop update will arrive on Moto X and Moto G, Moto G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini.
