Sony announces Android Lollipop Upgrade only for Z series
With Android Lollipop going viral in the smartphone cosmos, all carriers are expediting to get the latest version of Android out of their devices. While other brands are giving this update to a chunk of their devices, Sony plans to keep it reserved only for the Z series of smartphones.
The users of the Sony's Experia Z series are in for a treat as their devices are to taste the latest Android 5.0 (Lollipop upgrade). The Japanese technology giant made this offical on twitter. The tweets read "Hi. We can advise that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is going to be released for the entire Xperia Z series only, we do apologise."

It clearly states that the owners of Sony's C series, M series, E series and T series will not get this upgrade on their device. We won't term it as discrimination but it might be that Sony wants this upgrade only on its higher-end devices for a better performance.

It is quite intriguing as to why Sony would leave behind the rest of it's devices and only move ahead with the Z series for a Lollipop upgrade. This certainly questions the resourcefulness of the company keeping in mind the avid customers who want the upgrade on their devices too.
