MWC 2015 is fast approaching and there are ton of new phones scheduled to get launched in Barcelona. Now, an unknown Sony smartphone has shown up in the GFXBench database and the benchmarks confirm the smartphone's specs.
The benchmark lists the smartphone by its model number, E2003/E2033. The screen is listed as a 4.6-inch with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It'll have a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 with an ARM Mali-T760 GPU, 1GB RAM, a microSD memory , 8GB of internal memory, a 5MP shooter and a 2MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is running Android 4.4.3 KitKat out of the box.
Sony is known for premium high-end Android smartphone. But, for quite some time, the company had been looking to unveil a smartphone in the entry-level segment.
If rumours are to be believed, this forthcoming smartphone will replace the Xperia E3. We reported in the past in December that Sony was working on releasing an Xperia E3 successor. Could this possibly be a new Xperia E4?
It's unclear when Sony plans on officially announcing its upcoming Xperia E4 smartphone but considering its predecessor getting old now, we expect to hear something soon. We'll keep you posted.
