Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc And LG Optimus 2X Head To Head Comparison
Sony Ericsson has always been in the forefront in bringing out superior performance handsets at affordable prices in the Indian markets. The company dominance in many handset categories is still unaffected even with other reputed brands coming up with handsets of similar feature. LG, the Korean manufacturer of mobiles with many success stories to their account is another name for compact and feature rich, mind blowing handsets.

Both the manufacturers have announced their new mobile handsets. Sony Ericsson this time promises an ultimate smart phone experience with their all new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, while defending with an equally efficient phone in the market is LG with the LG Optimus 2X.

The comparison reveals some of the interesting feature similarities while it's brilliant how they differ from each other. To begin with, both the new mobile handsets are Android powered. LG Optimus 2X is embedded with an Android OS v2.2 known as Froyo with an upgradability to v2.3. Sony Ericson Xperia Arc is already a Android v2.3. Both the handsets have improved processor supports enabling quick interactions with the phone. The speed of the phone being determined by the processor performance, the manufacturers have put in a special interest in making the phones have high performance processors. The processor in Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is a 1GHz Scorpion Processor while Optimus 2X has took a step ahead with a dual core 1GHz giving it more power than Xperia.

Both the handsets have a camera, obviously. With features like Autofocus, LED flash and even with a 1.3MP secondary camera, the 8MP camera enabled Optimus 2X again leads against Sony Ericsson Xperia which even though has an equally feature enabled built in 8MP camera, lacks a secondary one. High resolution HD videos can be recorded with both the handsets with LG offering a full HD record in 1080 resolution and that too at a superb speed of 30Fps while Xperia allows only HD records in 720p at the same speed, so again it's LG Optimus that excels.

Other general features include a 3.5G support, a Wi-Fi 802.11 in Optimus 2X. The candy bar designed phone also has a capacitive touchscreen display and microSD memory expandable option up to a 32 GB expandability in addition to the on board 8GB memory. It's a 512 MB inbuilt memory for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc at the same time with a similar microSD card memory expandable option up to an equal 32 GB. All the other mentioned characteristic features are similar to that of the LG's.

Finally when it comes to the price, the new LG Optimus 2X gets a comparatively low cost price tag of RS.24, 450 when Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc costs about RS.26, 000.So you know what's best for you, and all we can say is choose wisely!.
