Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 is a smartphone still to be launched. But that hasn’t kept people from talking about it, not least because of supposedly leaked YouTube slides that had revealed some of its features much earlier. Sony has now officially announced Xperia X7 and from the specifications it looks to be a really advanced and good looking handset. This is really something you’ll want to lay your hands on as it has got all the latest high-tech features packed in.
It has a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen and is loaded with Windows Phone 7 operating system for starters. Then there is the processor, the 1.2GHz Snapdragon MSM8260 CPU. The other exciting feature is the 8-megapixel camera also offering 720p video recording. On the entertainment side Xperia X7 features media players that can play multiple codecs and RDS-equipped FM radio. Those are pretty impressive specs.

Aesthetically too, Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 is one of the most attractive smartphones around. It has a bar form factor and is really slim and light, making it easy to carry around. The reactive WVGA touchscreen dominates the front section of the phone.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 is equipped with 512MB RAM and quite a good deal of internal memory. The memory can also be updated to a maximum of 32GB with microSD card. So you won’t have trouble storing any number of contacts in the phonebook and text and video messages too. You can also store plenty of other exciting stuff such as ringtones and wallpapers.
The excellent browsing and connectivity features of Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 along with social networking capabilities will ensure that you can stay in touch with your friends and colleagues, check your mail and send important emails, check the news, and browse your favorite websites really fast.
Thanks to the 512MB RAM and the Snapdragon 1.2GHz processor, you can also perform urgent tasks such as uploading or sending files, images or videos. Downloading and uploading speeds are high, thanks to 3G connectivity (2G and 3G networks supported) and the USB and Bluetooth connectivity options ensure flawless data exchange too. With the Windows Phone 7 OS you have access to great office applications.
The only negative is the low battery backup which has generally been the case with all Sony Ericsson phones. The backup on offer is only in the region of 4 hours on full charge from the Li-Ion battery. But overall this is certainly a hot gadget that will raise the buzz in the market. Sony is yet to announce the price of Xperia X7.
