IFA Berlin is around the corner, and our PlayStation 4 maker has decided to unveil a high-end device on September 4. Now you must be thinking about Sony's odd decision to bring another big-ticket handset immediately after a mammoth Xperia Z Ultra.
It's not the fault of this Japanese giant to bring Honami i1, a rumored smartphone with 20-mega pixel camera shooter a little early. With players like Samsung and Nokia have come with dedicated camera smartphones in the market; the need of the hour is to have a monster smartphone in the hands of Sony.

Recently, a senior executive over at Sony India shared some juicy details about Honami i1 with us. The executive wished to remain anonymous. Co-incidently, he also confirmed that September 4 is the chosen date to announce Honami i1. The device will feature a powerful camera. Since competition in this space have already arrived in respect to Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom , Nokia Lumia 1020 and soon to be announce iPhone 5S; Sony does not want to be stay far from the limelight. However, the executive declined to comment upon the design and specifications of the so-called Honami i1.

It would be right to say that Honami i1 will be announced at IFA Berlin. Recently, a Chinese website Digi-wo published a teaser image of the rumored device. It was a sort of an invite. Interestingly, the image shown in the teaser appears to be in Purple across a black background. The device appears to be sharp from the edges and supremely thin. The teaser image also hints at September 4, 2013 - Berlin.

According to FCC, the Honami i1 could be name of the device, which Sony is said to announce on September 4, ahead of IFA Berlin tech show. This FCC filing sheds light on the launch date of Honami i1 smartphone. The device will be announced before September 30 followed by retail availability in October.
