Sony Xperia A Officially Launched in Japan Along With LG Optimus it, Sharp Aquos Pad And More

Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo has announced its summer line earlier today. The new range of Android based devices cater to mostly premium users. Some of the handsets made their debut today, while others have been announced last month.

 

For instance, the Sony Xperia A officially announced at NTT DoCoMo event. It packs a gorgeous 4.6-inch 720p HD display along with waterproof and dustproof capabilities. In the tablet category, Japanese firm as announce the availability of Aquos Pad, the 7-inch tablet packs Full HD resolution - thanks to IGZO technology. Let's see the top five devices announced at the event.

Sony Xperia A

The newly announced Sony Xperia A does not guarantee you pride and zeal when you hold the Xperia Z in your hands. Still a good look at the mid-level handset is required. It packs a 4.6-inch 720p HD display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM , 32GB of ROM, a 13-mega pixel rear shooter powered by Sony's EXMOR R sensor, a front facing camera, waterproof and dustproof capability, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 , Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 4G LTE, NFC, and a 2,300mAh Li Ion battery. All in all, it is indeed a sober handset with unlimited fun. One could see the handset coming to India around late July.

Sharp Aquos Pad SH-08E

Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Sharp's Aquos Pad SH-080 is a 7-inch tablet device having resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Being a Full HD tablet, and on the top it the display uses company's IGZO display (it is the same technology to be used by Apple in its next-gen iPhone). On the specifications side, it packs 1.7-GHz quad-core processor, an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera, 2.1-mega pixel front facing camera, a 4,200mAh battery, NFC, Wi-Fi, and LTE, amongst other features. It is expected to roll out around August or September in the Indian market.

Samsung Galaxy S4

Samsung is one manufacturer who is not focusing its energies on just South Korea, but made an effort to crack Japanese market. During the unveiling of NTT DoCoMo summer line up, the network operator introduced the much acclaimed Galaxy S4. Packing a 4.99-inch 1080p Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, a 13-mega pixel rear camera , 2-mega pixel front facing camera , Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, NFC, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 , and a 2,600mAh battery fitted inside. The device has been launched in the Indian market last month at Rs.41, 500.

You won't find Disney handsets elsewhere in the world other than Japan. The folks over at Japan love to have kid's friendly handsets or the girls over there are so fond of Barbie Dolls. This is the reason why brands like Disney keep on announcing these types of handsets in the Far eastern countries. Let's have a specs inspection: a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a 13-mega pixel rear camera, 1.2-mega pixel front facing camera, and a 2,600mAh battery inside. This seems a high end device, if you have a look around the specifications. It is expected to arrive in mid July in Japan. For Disney, India is a big market, so one can expect this handset to be announced in India by September or October.

LG Optimus it

This very handset is a classic example of misconception. It is neither looks like Nexus 4 nor resembles to Optimus G. Now it is being announced, and NTT DoCoMo, is set to carry this 4G LTE handset. The device will arrive in late June in Japan. And what about the internal specifications : a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, a 13.2 -mega pixel rear facing camera, 1.2-mega pixel front acing camera, 4G LTE, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean , a 2,100mAh battery inside.
