Sony Xperia E1, E1 Dual Now Revceiving Android 4.4 KitKat Update
Here's some good news if you are an owner of either the Sony Xperia E1 or the E1 Dual handsets. According to reports, Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update (v20.1.B.0.64) for both the budget handsets mentioned above.
Previous to this, Sony had already promised to roll out the update for the users of either of the handsets when the company begun rolling it out for T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra Dual handsets.

As far as the update received for T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra Dual handsets, the update brought UI tweaks with performance improvements. Apart from that, Sony had enhanced the Status Bar and Quick Settings to make it more intuitive and customizable.
However, concerning the update for the Sony Xperia E1 or the E1 Dual handsets, sony wrote: "We've been working to build new Sony experiences on Google's KitKat release to create some neat / sweet features (if we say so ourselves) - in addition to a few performance tweaks here & there."
With the new update now incoming, expect to receive performance and UI optimization with the 4.4 update. Apart from that, the company has added a tweaked Status Bar and Quick Settings that more intuitive and customizable.
Also, now you will have the option to easily move applications from internal memory to SD card. "We recognised the need to have more control over your content... as something particularly useful for devices with slightly less space," Sony adds.
The company also added that next in line to receive the update are the Xperia M2 and M2 dual handsets. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
