Sony has been putting across killing innovations in their new age devices, whether it be smartphones like Xperia Z and ZR or the new PlayStation 4. But the story of Sony doesn't stop yet. As the next beast which is going to be unchained from the Japanese giant's end is called Honami - the huge Android phablet flagship Xperia i1 - it has been seen via constant leaks and rumors in the internet world. The device has been in the gossip ever since it came online for the first time back in April 2013.
Sony Xperia i1 Honami Update
The two latest update on Sony Xperia i1 Honami have come up during the weekend. Firstly, when the alleged press shots of the phone were leaked via GSMArena report, taken from a Xperia i1 Honami system dump.
Following which , the same folks came up with a report showing a gallery of screenshots of the device, citing XperiaBlog. The leaked images somehow confirmed the beastly camera and the updated UI. Going by the source report, "the leak came from a Canadian carrier device with model number C6906."
Sony Xperia i1 Honami Features
As per the report, apparently; Sony Honami Xperia i1 will come with a new user interface, including an updated launcher, a new app drawer, and even new apps including new Walkman app. There's also a new version of Small Apps, which was highlighted, allowing users to run multiple apps on the screen at the same time.
It was also, informed that a new virtual keyboard and the massive 20-megapixel cameras capable of recording 4K video (4000×2000 pixel resolution) could debut.
Apart from that, reports in the past have also informed that Sony's upcoming flagship will run on the new Snapdragon processor 800 quad-core processor, sport a 20 MP camera powered by BIONZ Engine, a unique image processor that suppresses any noise of light and color, enhancing color reproduction and clarity of the pictures.
Further, Honami is also speculated to feature 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD slot for expansion, 3,000 mAh battery with improved STAMINA mode, connectivity features including IR, NFC, One Touch Sharing, Wi-Fi Miracast & Bluetooth 4.0 and S-Master MX Mobile Audio Amplifier for enhanced audio.
Sony Xperia i1 Honami Launch Date
Sony has already sent out media invites for an event in Paris on July 4, hence many tech analysts are estimating that Xperia i1 Honami might get unwrapped on the same day and will hit the market sometime later in Q3 2013.
