The moment someone asks about the smarpthone from Sony, the immediate response in the mind is - "is it waterproof." But no, not all Sony phones are waterproof. Moreover, the waterproof ones fall in basically Z series. While others are pretty much regular phones with ordinary specs.
Now a recent report that's making its way to the online world suggest that the successor of the Xperia M2 will get the same waterproof build. Moreover, few sites also claim that it will be called as the Xperia M2 Aqua.
Moreover, if truth be told, there would be a two different variants of the successor of the Xperia M2. The statement is directly proportionate to the listing of the model numbers PM-0770 and PM-0771 at the FCC database, which belongs to Sony.
To back the waterproof aspect of the phone, tech savvy news hunters have unearthed a UAProf on Sony's website. The XML file on Sony's web site reveals both smartphones' name as Sony Xperia M2 Aqua. The original Sony Xperia M2 handset was launched without waterproof capabilities, but it seems that its successor will change that.
Moreover, the phone is expected to arrive on shelves with the usual Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, ANT+, NFC, and GPS capabilities inside, while also featuring 4G LTE connectivity.
Apart from these we are not sure what specs will be featured in the phones. Anyways, if the predecessor's specs would help estimate the specs of the successor, you can check out the specs of the regular Xperia M2.
