Sony Xperia M2 Aqua Leaks Online: Waterproof Build Hinted
The moment someone asks about the smarpthone from Sony, the immediate response in the mind is - "is it waterproof." But no, not all Sony phones are waterproof. Moreover, the waterproof ones fall in basically Z series. While others are pretty much regular phones with ordinary specs.

Now a recent report that's making its way to the online world suggest that the successor of the Xperia M2 will get the same waterproof build. Moreover, few sites also claim that it will be called as the Xperia M2 Aqua.
Moreover, if truth be told, there would be a two different variants of the successor of the Xperia M2. The statement is directly proportionate to the listing of the model numbers PM-0770 and PM-0771 at the FCC database, which belongs to Sony.
To back the waterproof aspect of the phone, tech savvy news hunters have unearthed a UAProf on Sony's website. The XML file on Sony's web site reveals both smartphones' name as Sony Xperia M2 Aqua. The original Sony Xperia M2 handset was launched without waterproof capabilities, but it seems that its successor will change that.
Moreover, the phone is expected to arrive on shelves with the usual Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, ANT+, NFC, and GPS capabilities inside, while also featuring 4G LTE connectivity.
Apart from these we are not sure what specs will be featured in the phones. Anyways, if the predecessor's specs would help estimate the specs of the successor, you can check out the specs of the regular Xperia M2.
Sony Xperia M2: Key Specifications
It has a 4.8-inch capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and comes powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226 ) processor with Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. It features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash. The rear camera which uses Exmor RS sensor can shoot video at 1080p quality as well. The front facing shooter is not a great one as it just features 0.3MP (VGA) sensor.
Sony has offered the Xperia M2 with a native storage capacity of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options remain regular, which include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC. The smartphone which measures 8.64mm thick and weighs 148 grams draws its energy from a 2300mAh battery.
