Sony Xperia M2 Dual Smartphone With 4.8-inch Display Launched in India for Rs 21,990
One of the best smartphones Sony launched last year at an affordable price range was the Xperia M which is still doing great in the market. The device's price-performance ratio was also something that clicked right for the company.
Now, inspired by the success of the smartphone, Japan-based smartphone maker has announced the successor to the device the Xperia M2 Dual at the MWC 2014 earlier this year. The good news is that the device has been launched in India today at Rs. 21,990. It is comparatively more expensive than it's predecessor but with more money, better specs is something, which you will surely get. The Sony Xperia M2 Dual comes in Black, White and Purple color variants and will be available across India starting April 25th.

Talking about the specs, the smartphone comes with a 4.8-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
It comes powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226 ) processor with Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. Off late, Sony has been updating almost all its latest devices with KitKat update and this might also get the KitKat treatment soon.
Sony has always been one of the best brand when it comes to launching great phones with impressive camera features. The latest one is no exception to the fact. It features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash. The rear camera which uses Exmor RS sensor can shoot video at 1080p quality as well. The front facing shooter is not a great one as it just features 0.3MP (VGA) sensor.

Sony offers the Xperia M2 Dual with a native storage capacity of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options remain regular, which include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC. Additionally, as the name suggests, it comes with a Dual SIM support.
The smartphone which measures 8.64mm thick and weighs 148 grams draws its energy from a 2300mAh battery.
The Xperia M2 Dual is likely to compete against the Moto X, Lenovo Vibe X and the latest HTC Desire 816 launched in India today.
