Sony Xperia Z Hits 4.6 Million Unit Sales In 40 Days: Analysts
Sony Xperia Z is indeed one of the most talked about smartphones, right now. So how is it faring in the market in terms of sales? According to a report from GSMInsider, well the waterproof, dustproof smartphone is doing great. Apparently a few analysts are saying that the Japanese manufacturer might have sold, as many as 4.6 million units of Xperia Zin just 40 days.
Why is the smartphone such a success? For starters, Sony released it's smartphone earlier then it's rivals HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Optimus G Pro, giving it a head start.
However, the features of Xperia Z, are the prime selling point. The handset is waterproof, dustproof and comes with Bravia Engine 2 for sharp display, Exmor RS & HDR lences for camera, Battery Stamina Mode and Sony LIV (For more info on features click here). Key Specifications
Specwise, the Sony Xperia Z sports a 5 inch full HD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and with Mobile Bravia Engine 2, quad core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 13MP rear camera, 2.2MP front camera for video calling, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G LTE and a 2,330 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Sony is aggressively marketing it's flagship smartphone, Xperia Z in India at a cost of approximately Rs 38,000. The company says it is looking to be the third largest smartphone brand in India by the end of this year.
