Android 4.4: Sony Xperia Z Series Along with Tablet Z to Be Treated With KitKat Update Next Month
Here is a good news for the Sony Xperia Z series owners. The Japanese premium smartphone maker Sony has in fact, covertly updated its products pages, which now reveals a bunch of devices, which are in verge of receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat update.

However, this is not a surprise after all as the company had confirmed Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Z series a month ago. The availability of the update is hinted for next month i.e. May. But the exact date still remains undisclosed. The update as always will be available via PC Companion app and over-the-air (OTA).
To be precise about the devices that are going to get the update, it includes few of its former flagship, along with premium handsets like the Sony Xperia ZL, Sony Xperia ZR and Sony Xperia Tablet Z. All these devices were update to Android 4.3 version back in December 2013.
There are no details on what features will be brought about by the new update in the devices. But if the regular Android KitKat features are to be expected, the smartphone would get, "Ok Google", which is a voice assistant via which you can control your phone without touching it and by just giving voice command. From sending a text message to playing music on your phone, this new feature will surely enhance user-experience. You will also get a new dialer, New Hangout app which now displays SMS and MMS messages, Translucent system UI, Full-screen Immersive mode, Wireless Printing and more.
