At this year's IFA tech show, Sony announced its most fascinating device ever - the Xperia Z1. Being a high-end device, it is natural to see positive buzz around Android powered smartphone. In the last few months, Sony has come up with one after the other blockbuster handsets - Be it Xperia Z or Xperia Z Ultra. So now what next? What about Sony Xperia Z1 Mini?
If rumors are to be believed, then yes, Sony could soon announce Xperia Z1 Mini. Before the coming of Honami i1 or Xperia Z1, it was said that the Japanese giant would like to announce a mini version of Xperia Z1 sometime later this year. Now, the biggest tech show held in Berlin is over, Sony may be planning to release a powerful mini Xperia Z1. Last month, we had informed you about the alleged pictures and full specifications sheet of supposed Honami i1. Today, a new rumor has surfaced in context to Xperia Z1 Mini.
Rumor has it .......
ETrade Supply (via RB Men) has published a render of supposed Honami i1 Mini's front panel. Talking about the specifications, Sony would like to promote Xperia Z1 as a premium device. Although the Xperia Z1 Mini would have a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, but other specs including processor and RAM should be similar to Xperia Z1. If Sony comes up with a mini variant of Xperia Z1, then it would mark the coming of true mini marvel with awesome hardware.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini vs HTC One Mini vs Sony Xperia Z1 Mini
It's not that Sony will be the first tech vendor to release a mini version of high-end handset. Earlier this year, Samsung launched Galaxy S4 Mini, a less expensive version of flagship Galaxy S4. However, the phone neither stands nearby original Galaxy S4 in respect to hardware. Moreover, the Galaxy S4 Mini is retailing at Rs. 27,000 in India, whereas you can get Samsung Galaxy S4 at Rs. 33,000.
So, there's hardly much difference between the retail price. Similarly, HTC is also offering a mini version of popular HTC One, but again the problem here lies in the hardware itself. Sony's Xperia Z1 Mini hardware looks promising, and the device when announced should be placed between Xperia Z and Xperia Z1.
Xperia Z1 Mini - Rumored Specifications
Sony Xperia Z1 will be an expensive affair when the device gets release date sometime in the first week of October 2013. Worry not? It's always better to wait for a right device that is meant for you. The Xperia Z1 Mini, whenever Sony plans to announce, would be less expensive than compared to Xperia Z1. As per multiple rumors, the Xperia Z1 Mini would have a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (quad -core) , 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM ( expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card), a 20.7-mega pixel rear facing camera with G Lens , and a 2,400mAh Li Ion battery.
