Last month, a few high-quality images of Xperia Z3 had emerged on the web. If these pictures have any thing to go by, the Xperia Z3 isn't looking different from Sony's existing Xperia Z2 flagship model when it comes to design and gratifying looks. In fact, it is hard to differentiate between the two handsets. That also gives us a clear signal that the next flagship from Sony might not come with a new design language.

Sony Xperia Z3 To Flaunt 5.1 Inch FHD Display

Not much has been revealed about the phone's screen. Early rumors and reports suggest that the new Xperia Z3 will come with a familiar 1080p HD screen. Of course that that would be same as the Xperia Z2, but a fairly low resolution screen compared to the LG G3 and the Oppo Find 7.

Since Xperia Z3 has been leaked several times in the past, we also have a general idea regarding the specifications the device. Perhaps, most of the Sony fans might be disappointment to know that the Xperia Z3 features similar specs to that of its predecessor Xperia Z2, which was launched earlier this year.

The smartphone should be powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2.5GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics coupled with 3GB of RAM, along with 16GB of internal memory, paired with a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion purposes. Sony Xperia Z3 should run under the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system right from the start. It will also feature the same 20.7MP G Lens camera that's found on the Xperia Z2.

Struggling Japanese electronics company Sony is aiming to be one of the top ranked players in the handset business. Sony first launched the Xperia Z1 in September last year, and after a gap of six months, the Xperia Z2 was introduced to the world in February earlier this year. Looks like Sony would like to continue this trend in the future by coming up with the long rumored Xperia Z3 in September of this year.

So far the Xperia Z3 appears to be an average affair, since its design and hardware features are not different from the existing Xperia Z2. It would be really tough for Sony to convince users to buy the Xperia Z3 over the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or the Apple iPhone 6.
