Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Images Leak Ahead of September 3 Launch

Like Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Alpha, Sony's Xperia Z3 has become one of the devices, which is being curiously awaited by the smartphone lovers across the world. But for now, the mini variant of the Sony Xperia Z3, which is called as the Xperia Z3 Compact has leaked online, which gives you a clear idea of what the device will look like.

It's not the first time that the Xperia Z3 Compact has leaked online, but you can call this one as the first massive leak, as this one comes in a form of a gallery of images. The photos comes courtesy of the qzone (via XperiaBlog), and show the device from all possible angels.

First off, the alleged images confirm the presence of the 20.7-megapixel camera on the rear side of the device. Moreover, it is said that the handset's camera will sport a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS camera sensor and will be accompanied by a LED flash.

Since the images of the Xperia Z3 has also leaked at the same time, you can clearly see the difference between the two devices. These two devices will apparently have different port flaps. To be precise, on the Xperia Z3 Compact, users can see that the microSD port is placed next to the microUSB one, and that both are protected by the same flap. Moreover, you will also be able to see a magnetic charging port, dedicated camera button and open 3.5mm headphone jack.

Talking about the specs, if rumors are to be taken into account, than you can expect the Xperia Z3 Compact to come with a 4.6-inch touchscreen display with HD resolution. On the contrary, some of the online reports also suggest that the device will feature a full HD panel.

However, you can be sure that it will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. The processor will be backed by a 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. In the imaging front, as said earlier, there will be a 20.7MP rear camera and in the front face, you will find a 2MP shooter. Expect to see, 4G LTE support and Android KitKat version out of the box.

As far as the availability of the Xperia Z3 and the Compact variant are concerned, it is said that both will be unveiled at the IFA 2014 tech show on September 3 in Berlin. Sony has already confirmed a press event for that day.
