Spice Mobile Focuses On Value Added Services!
The brand is now re-establishing itself as a leader in value added offerings or rather branding itself as a Mobile Internet Company. It has invested around Rs 1,000 Crores for implementing this strategy. The company claims to leverage this funding acquired through the internal accruals of the company to strengthen its research and development wing and also to aid its acquisitions in the current fiscal.
The company has already acquired two major mobile phone companies Nexus and Sprint in Indonesia and Bangladesh respectively wherein the latter deal is yet to receive a regulatory clearance.
However, the company says that a major portion of that investment will go for the development of Value Added Offerings. The internet is fast growing into an immaculate force that drives the business world and it is where the interest of the youth lies. So Spice Mobiles has tied up with major online companies such as Naukri, Sulekha Mobiles, Yatra.Com to name a few, in order to cater to the fast growing demand of the online world.
The companies have agreed on a mutual revenue sharing portfolio also. Thus the branding of Spice Mobile as a Mobile Internet Company is justified in this context.
According to Mr B.K Modi the chairman of Spice Mobile, the company has merged its various divisions like devices, retail and value-added services into one for the new branding and to focus on Mobile Internet Business. According to him very soon education, entertainment, healthcare and financial sectors will all evolve into Mobile Business. So it is the right time for rebranding the company as India is expected to achieve double digit Gross Domestic Product growth rate aided by the Mobile Business technique.
So with a spice handset in hand, you can expect much more than just a handset, you will have a host of value added features and services in your fingertips, everything at a nominal price too.
With a youth population surpassing even that of China, the focus of Spice Mobile"s operations would be to extend the Mobile Internet based Value Added Offerings to them and thus replenishing the associated benefits.
The future of the company seems to be heading in the right direction
