Spice Pinnacle FHD Launched Online at Rs 16,990: Top Five Handsets At Threat

S Mobility has recently launched latest flagship smartphone called Spice Pinnacle FHD in the Indian market. Moreover the handset is likely to create more competition in the standard phablet market. The latest quad core handset from Spice is priced at the same range of Micromax Canvas 4 at Rs. 16,990

Going by the specs, the Pinnacle FHD sports a 5.0-inch display that offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It comes with a 16.7 M colors and video recording at 1080p (30fps). The phablet is powered by a competitive 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on the latest iteration Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The phablet is also backed by 1GB RAM.

Pinnacle FHD houses an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED flash along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Connectivity options include Dual SIM (3G + 3G) with Dual Standby, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and aGPS.

Internal stroage capacity of the Pinnacle FHD is 8GB and can be expandable up to 32GB.

The device is powered by a 2100mAh Li-on Polymer battery.

It also comes with a Pop- up play to play, Flip to Mute calls, Intelligent Answer, Direct Call and Spice Cloud backup support with seamless data sync and 2GB of free data storage. Pinnacle FHD also includes features like Bluetooth 4.0, Proximity sensor, G-sensor, Light sensor, Pop-up Play, FM Radio, Intelligent Answer, Flip to Mute, Direct Call and GPS/AGPS among others.

Spice Cloud provides Spice consumers with Cloud Backup of 2GB free Data storage and seamless access to user photos, documents, music, videos and contacts across the devices along with advanced security and anti-theft features. Users can access them all using the web interface at www.spicecloud.in.

The Spice Pinnacle FHD is available for pre-booking exclusively on saholic at Rs. 16,990 while the product will be available across India through all major retail stores from July 20. The deliveries for pre-booking start from July 20.

However, the Spice Pinnacle FHD is likely to give a tough competition to the latest devices like, Micromax Canvas 4, Karbonn Titanium S9 and older devices like, XOLO Q1000, Lava Iris 504Q and Lenovo IdeaPhone S890. Alll the devices are priced at the similar range and comes with a close to similar specifications.

Karbonn Titanium S9

Karbonn Titanium S9 IPS sports a 5.5 inch HD IPS Capacitive touchscreen that offers 16 million color output. It runs on the latest iteration Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It generates its power from 1.2GHz quad core processor and 1 GB RAM.It is a 3G phone. The handset comes with a 13 Mega pixel primary camera with auto focus and LED flash a 5 Mega Pixel front camera. Output ports include a micro SD card slot that can be used to expand the memory up to 32 GB, 3.5 mm audio jack and comes with a 16 GB internal memory. It also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0, technology support. The phablet is powered by 2,600 mAh battery.

Micromax Canvas 4

Canvas 4 is powered by MT6589, the quad-core processor made by MediaTek that also powers Canvas HD. Just like its predecessor, Canvas 4 also has a 5-inch screen with 720p resolution. The device has 16GB internal storage that is expandable and 1GB RAM. It is powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and has battery capacity of 2,000mAh. The phone has been priced at Rs 17,999.

The phone has a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera.
Micromax Canvas 4 comes packed with a dual-SIM support, dual standby, FM, 3.5mm Ear Jack, GPS, GPRS, EDGE, HSPA, Wi-fi, USB, 2G, 3G, bluetooth 4.0, but no NFC.
It is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery.

XOLO Q1000

As for the specifications, the Xolo Q1000 comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display at 295 PPI with scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor, 1.2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory via MicroSD and 2100 mAh battery. Xolo Q1000 will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will come with connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Dual SIM (GSM + GSM).

Lava Iris 504Q

Lava Iris 504q is a dual SIM, GSM + GSM, (Dual Standby) smartphone with a super slim profile measuring 8.4mm thickness that makes it one of the slimmest handset in its category. It brings HD experience to a 5 inch IPS screen with OGS display technology and a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The phablet is powered by a quad core processor clocked to 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM and runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. The Lava Iris 504q comes with an intelligent flip cover and also houses an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus, LED flash and BSI sensor along with 2 Megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wifi, USB and Bluetooth. Also, Lava Iris 504q comes with an internal storage capacity of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD and a powerful Li-Polymer, 2000 mAh battery.

Xolo Play T1000

Xolo Play T1000 comes with smaller sized 4.7-inch IPS HD capacitive touchscreen display that offers a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel and a pixel density of 293 ppi.

The Xolo Play T1000 is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 1GB RAM and the smartphone runs on a Android Jelly Bean version 4.1.1 Operating System. Thus Canvas 4 has a better Android Version but Xolo device comes with a higher clocked quad core processor. Xolo Play T1000 features a internal storage capacity of 4GB that can also be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD slot.

The Xolo Play T1000 has a lower 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

Xolo Play T1000 comes packed with a dual-SIM support, dual standby, FM, 3.5mm Ear Jack, Bluetooth v3 as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSDPA (which will give speeds up to 21 Mbps, according to the official specifications). The T1000 also features A-GPS with support for Google Maps. It supports 3G and USB as well. It is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery.
